I've only heard one or two tracks from the massive majority of these albums. But I can pretty much say it's my favorite of anyone's lists thus far based on what I've heard.

Great to see some love for Despised Icon, The Red Shore, As You Drown & Woe Of Tyrants.

I am very happy to see that someone has finally given Woe of Tyrants props for the Kingdom of Might album. I believe it is one of the best of the year.

Totally agree with kalisia as number one!  Can't thank you enough for that reference, would have probably never heard them without it !  Geist was an astonishing discovery too, due to your stellar review!  Fragmentary evidence is in my top 5 too, still can believe how poorer bands get more praise than them...And they are rarely mentionned in lists...

Im not licking asses there, but i'd say your reviews are the most accurate on this site, gives you a good idea what you're into, before actually hearing it!  Sure, the fact we have similar tastes help, but that wouldn't do it if you wrote like an ass!

Looking forward what you'll bring in 2010, keep on the good work!

This is my favorite end of year list so far on this site. I was dismayed that Augury, Be'lakor, Gorod, Obscura, Ensiferum had been so overlooked. The Red Shore pick is a strange one though? And pleased to see somebody remember  Woe of Tyrants, considering it was released during the first week of January.

Sorry some of us aren't in the promo-getting elite, but I haven't heard of half these bands, much less do I think you ACTUALLY think they're you favorites this year.

Hellsworn is a great disc. Unfortunately, it fell victim to poor distribution.
