Ok, now that I have your attention, I am going to throw in some metal.
First off, a big thanks to Matt and Metal Review with Nuclear Blast Records for the serious amounts of win that arrived in the mail the other day. Adding to my growing collection of signed music stuff. Including Mike Portnoy, Devin Townsend, Amon Amarth and others.

Second, unless you are actually playing it, sports are lame.
Third. A list of albums I am currently waiting for as patiently as Cartman waited for the Nintendo Wii.
1. Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God. September 20th. If you do not love Amon Amarth, you're wrong. If you do not agree that the opening to "The Pursuit of Vikings" is not the most head-banging intro to any song you are again, wrong. It's that simple.
2. Enslaved - Vertebre. Sometime in September. Like everyone else here, I love me some Enslaved. I think ISA and RUUN were their best efforts so far, with Below the Lights trailing slightly behind. They simply make metal you cannot easily compare to similar acts. Enslaved is a Black Metal band that will go down in records for something other than burning down a church, murdering/being murdered, or having the most awesome corpsepaint.
3. Gojira - The Way of All Flesh. October 13th. I listen to "From Mars to Sirius" as I write this Blog Extravaganza, I love it. France seems to be having a fairly large output of quality metal these days. Black Metalers tend to love Deathspell Omega, I love Gojira and Gorod. Even my non-metal Maynard loving friends agree, Gojira cures AIDS. For once, France does not surrender to metal.
4. Bloodbath - The Fathomless Mastery. Sometime in October. The Unblessing the Purity EP Bloodbath put out earlier this year has been on of my favorites of 2008. This album will definently be a contender to replace Arghoslent's Hornets of the Pogrom for #1 if the EP is any indication to how this album will sound.

5. Wintersun - Time. Hopefully before December 21st 2012. Jari cannot let the world down with this release. Even people who did not like Ensiferum, enjoy Wintersun. There is no possible way in heaven or hell this album cannot be in every single metalhead's top five for the year it gets released (We are counting on you Jari for late 2008).
