I try my best to not dwell on bad choices and wallow in regret, but not finishing my degree back in the mid-90s has been hanging over my head for many years now. Well, not any longer.
That's right, bitches - I graduated from college today. Yeah, it's just a Bachelor's and I'm 38 and it's in the same field as my soul-sucking, cubicle-dwelling day-job (Information Systems), but godammit - it sure is a relief to be done all the same.
No idea what I'm doing from here. No idea what I want to do when I grow up. I'm OK with all that for today; it's just good to finally be done with this societal and professional obligation for now. No more being ashamed of not having this stupid piece of paper in-hand.
