Probably some sort of spam, as I don't have a Facebook account, just odd that I get it in Danish. I mean, of all the languages to fire out randomly, Danish doesn't seem like the one that'd have the highest success rate.

I had to inform him that the current year is not counting up from the beginning of human history, but is arbitrarily counting up from the fairly modern times of the dawn of Christianity.

And yet I can have a discussion with him about whether or not Zhukov was a better general than Patton, the effectiveness of the Finnish armed forces against the Russians, Polish use of biplanes to combat Nazi bombers, the Polish government-in-exile during WW2 and the Cold War, the Red Army's conduct in WW2, etc.

I think my face has frozen into some sort of shocked, quizzical look.

Somebody also fucked up the "Et tu, Brute?" line from Julius Caesar in my presence, and somebody else who seemed smart and was reading a book about the Punic Wars - after being told my Xbox Live gamertag - said Cretaceous "isn't a word".

Apparently I'm cultured and I had no idea.
