I feel it is a shame that there will only be 2 new songs on the new Candlemass EP - the rest are just live performances!  With their new singer Rob Lowe, I was expecting a great album.

Geeze. It's not like King of the Grey Islands came out THAT long ago. They just wanna let fans know things are progressing! I'm looking forward to hearing the new tunes. And I hope ROBERT Lowe has some input on the vocal arrangements.

Definitely. He didn't always achieve the full glory of his abilities on the last one.

I don't know. Rob Lowe (at least on the SA albums I own) has a habit of using the most annoyingly prevalent echo effect I think I've ever heard. Don't get me wrong, he's got a great voice, but the echoe nearly ruined "into the depths of sorrow" for me. I just think the last album had a lot of filler. If they could make an entire album's worth of tracks along the same quality as the first three on KotGI, it would easily be one of the best albums of the year.

Still, I will probably blindly buy whatever new studio material they put out regardless.

Definitely can't wait to see how they work with Lowe on this EP.  I liked KotGI too, and agree that there was some fluff with that album but hopefully Lowe will have some input on the new material.

Never picked up the new one, but I like what Lowe did on producing the album by Crucial Taunt.

Gelatinous Cube terrorizes village, I think it's incredible.

Lowe needs to stop singing for so many bands. I never even picked up that Concept of God album. It sounded alright, but...

While not exactly essential, that Concept of God album is pretty damn good and it's refreshing to hear his vocals in a different context than what we're used to hearing him in. I am not so sure it's your "thing," Captain, but I still listen to a few songs off there regularly.
