I don't know, the guy is from Finland. I'm allowing a bit of room for cultural differences. Here one might be used to being called "brother", while that may not be such a normal thing in another country. Sometimes I listen to my own slang and realize that I sound like a jackoff sometimes.
I'm also suspicious of the validity of this tale, given that Ville was first described as a guitarist. Doesn't sound like an attentive person, so there may be details missing. After all, initially we were told that Ville was agitated that this guy didn't know his name, and that obviously wasn't the case.

I don't know how it isn't a "fuck you" to the fans when a guy is either ignorant of or completely unaccepting of a culture that buys his artistic output. If a bunch of people all over the world decided to buy my shit and they all had a well-known hand-sign that they used constantly, I'd use it a couple times at least to say, "Hey, thanks, I get you."
