Why would this be remastered beyond a cash grab? I can't tell a dang difference between the two except for a slight increase in the volume of the keyboards a touch. What the hell. I hope the band didn't have a hand in this. There's a couple of bonus tracks, but nothing worth the price.
It wasn't worth a penny in the first place.

Dark Tranquillity is shit.
I'd rather a new album. Though I admit I really liked Damage Done, it certainly doesn't need a remix... thats just weird. I mean, the album wasn't mixed perfectly, but it's not Nevermore's Enemies of Reality or anything (now THAT album NEEDED a re-mix)

Agreed on the EoR front, for sure.
I can't recall ever complaining about the sound on Damage Done...I haven't listen to it in ages, though.
I stand firm in saying if an album is less than 10 years old, it does not need to be touched in any form.*
*exceptions can be made, these include but are not limited to: re-recorded demos, label re-mastering of independent release and Amon Amarth.

I imagine they'll try to make it as shitty sounding as Fiction and Character.

Don't care, Bob is a retard that has a musical taste that is the equivilant of a 4 year old with down syndrome and his like/dislike of banging on an empty box and who I seriously doubt even listens to metal and is just an idiot looking for some kind of misfit board to act all smart on. I mean seriously outside of saying he likes some gay folk shit, having a Besital Warlust Icon and liking Dragon Force has the fucker ever posted once in the n/p thread or contributed to an actual music topic? No, I'm serious, has their ever been a Bob thought on metal what so ever? I know some how he might write reviews on here with his stupid real name but if he has I have never read and could care less. That said:
I tend to agree with Dave on Character and Fiction to be honest and really only listen to Misery's Crown and the last track on Fiction. Charcter and Damage Done are pretty disposable as well. That said up to and including Haven a great band that sounded different on every album and went static after listening to too much crap when touring in the US with shit bands (see Soilwork) and just tried to hard not to be "different" and appease retarded young metal fan by the whole true bullshit. Projector is easily the best album they ever did.
That's right, try to attack my credibility because I don't like the band you do.

It has nothing to do with that at all and on a few albums I agree they are massively getting over rated for being stagnant. I'm just trying to recall a discussion on music you ever participated in other then to say something sucks that a lot of people like. Seriously.

Were there really any gaping holes in Fiction's production? I didn't seem to think so.

Me neither. Good fuckin' metal album, that one.
