Sounds good. Got a famous Armored Saint album? Love that band.

I've pretty much got their entire disco. My favorite's are Raising Fear & Symbol of Salvation. I can never decide which one I like more, both are such rockin' good albums, Bush is one of the best Heavy Metal vocalists out there. I still can't get over the fact that he ditched the Saint after SoS for Anthrax, of all bands, especially after he turned down Metallica for the vocal spot back in the day cuz' he thought Saint would be the bigger band. I might give the slight edge to Raising Fear because it was a Prichard album, and I love me Prichard, shame the guy died...
Also: Raising Fear has one the most true-ass metal artwork's EVAR.
Come ON!

Decided to move this to its own thread.  Hopefully we’ll get some more discussion.
You’ve made good points all around.  If I had to name one album as a fave I’d go w/ Delirious Nomad by a hair, but really, I’m crazy about the first three albums.  Symbol of Salvation isn’t far behind, but I know I’m in the minority of fans that don’t feel like it’s one of the band’s best efforts.  I’d rank them this way:

Delirious Nomad
Raising Fear (“Frozen Will/Legacy” is friggin amazing)
March of the Saint
Symbol of Salvation
Revelation

Not sure if you have Saints Will Conquer (is that still in print??) but “No Reason to Live” is a fucking excellent non-album track.  Man, they were (are?) an outstanding band.  They don’t get near the props they deserve.  I was shocked when it was announced that Bush was taking over the Anthrax mic.  I didn’t think that would be a good fit at all.  And of course, it wouldn’t have been, but the band’s sound changed then too.

Definetely a great band.. dont have any of their albums.. I have some of their songs on a mixed cd. John Bush sounds a lot better with them than with Anthrax.

I would love to have a new Saint album, but that Revelation one kind of bored me, so hopefully it'll be better than that.  I loved Symbol back in the day, but I went through about a decade without listening to Armored Saint until last year or so, then I picked back up.  I had forgotten how killer they were.

Any of you guys have the expanded, 2-disc version of Symbol of Salvation?  I’ve sort of held off on buying it, but been curious.

Hmmm I'm intrigued.  I'm going to have to give this band a listen.

Well, feel free to call me an idiot, since I never cared that much for them. Automobile

Really, I think that John Bush defecting to Anthrax was the best thing that could happen: a bad band is mercifully put out of it's misery, and a great band finally gets a decent singer. Broken Heart
