Here's a higher quality version of Heir Apparent.  Thoughts?

The drumming to me sounds as amazing as ever, and i thought gen that was pretty cool, ^^ Can't say whether i thought it was better than the songs on the other albums or anything, just think it was pretty slick.

I liked the ending of the song, I hope that wasn't the jazz organ keyboard setting I was hearing at the end though. Maybe the difference is less cleans from Mike?

I watch this vid once a day. I love Opeth. I'm soooo excited for the new album after this video came out. I love it. It's got everything a good Opeth song should have. And, that first solo at around 2:20 or so, is simply awesome.

OPETH is amazing like 98% of the time and this is right there with the usual amzingness. Everything about this song was excellent. The new album is gonna be fucking great I'm sure.

Being a big Opeth fan I'm naturally very excited for the new album. This is the first time I have heard Fredrik on guitar and I must say I'm impressed. This has really physiced me up for their HEADLINING SHOW in my city. Cant wait.

I'm looking forward to it.  The thing about Opeth is you either love them or hate them (and typically both for the same reasons).  I admittedly fall into the first category, but I have to say I was a bit dissapointed with Ghost Reveries.  Not that it was bad, mind you.  It was certainly one of the better metal releases that year, IMO.  I guess it was just those keyboards among other things that bugged me.  It's not that they were awful or anything, its just that I'm not a fan of the 70's organ keyboards.  Kinda got annoying hearing them in most of the songs.  But anyway, enough about the past.  I liked what I heard and look forward to getting it.  It reminds me a bit of the Deliverance record.

... Wow. It appears that the promise of a more evil sounding direction, as hinted at by Akerfeldt, has become a welcome reality. This song has more of an old-school DM aesthetic than much of their previous material. I am a fan of all things Opeth regardless, so any way they sway is cool with me and I'm hoping for yet another ecclectic offering. In any case, this little teaser has me very excited indeed. Thanks for posting it.

Sounds promising.  Not sure if I can handle another perfect/tidy/meticulous Opeth release and I'm sort of anticipating not caring so much when it comes out.

That was good. I can't wait for the new album.

But you know what was better? The clips of Comus playing live for the first time since 1972, on the same night.
