I'm interested, but I haven't really liked anything since Chaosphere...and even then, they were a mere curiosity for me.
I'll give it a go.
In another thread I had posted how I find ardent Tool fans annoying as shit...I'm that guy with Meshuggah. In my eyes, they do no wrong. An ardent Tool fan would call me annoying as shit.

what if you found out they farted in the bathtub and bit the bubbles? Or what if they were caught running around town sniffing bicycle seats, hmmmm??
Haha, I'm pretty sure that's why my last g/f left.
"Check it out, this section is exactly 32 seconds long. Get it? GET IT? CATCH FUCKING 33! Brillia-hello? Stop...stop making out with that other guy...stop...dad, what the hell that's my gir-alright, I'll go to my room."
Would they be running around sniffing seats with their 8-string guitars strapped to their backs? 'cause that might be alright.

flah: This is the greatest day of the year. Between me and whoever else reads this thread, Mesuggah is my favorite metal band. There. I said it.

Well damn, Flahzlestein! No idea you were such a fan. I also credited Meshuggah as my favorite metal band for a period of many years, and they're still easily in my top five. I've loved pretty much everything they've put out so far (not sure what you're talking about, Contradictions Collapse is an AMAZING album). I've heard the new album, and so far I'm really digging it. "Combustion" sort of had me thinking they were going in a faster direction again, so I was a little dissapointed when most of the album went back into more of a Catch-33 style. Still, I have a feeling this one's gonna be a grower. Some of the melodies in there are so subtle, they're almost no even there. Great fucking band...
cchellis: Captain:How many times do I have to say it?!?!?MeshuggaNAH! MeshuggaNAH!!! MeshuggaNAH!!!!! This has bothered me, too.

Destoy-Erase-Improve, is probably my favorite of all. I , kicks some serious ass too.
i'll be checking this out for sure, but i think i'm going to wait for it.
these guys are ok, but they're no Machine Head...
*waits*
Hmmm, do I smell bait?
Yes, but Machine Head have nothing on Sanctity.
Exhorder was Pantera before Pantera was Pantera.

Oh, CC is good, I just don't like it AS much as what follows. As for the album, I've listened to it about, oh, 15 times and it keeps getting better. Pineal Gland Optics is just deadly. It's time now for me to, gasp, UNCOVER THE SECRETS that make up every Meshuggah album, haha.
Track 3 and 7 on obZen. It is oppressive, this new Meshuggah album.
