I know there's a few of us bastards lurking about, so I figured it was time to start one of these up. One, because we like to show off the loveliness of this shit and point one another in the direction of particularly well put together releases, but also to help us avoid the occasional platter that's just not worth the cabbage.
Case in point: most of you know how much I loved Suma's Ashes, but I'd say I'm bummed with the vinyl pressing I picked up early last year. What made me pull the trigger was the thought of having that nice, deep tone amplified by the nature of the ol' analog recording, along with the fact that it offers up a bonus track. Well, the sound quality ain't worth the bucks, and the bonus track is essentially just a track of "noise." So, avoid unless you've really got a hard-on for collecting.
BUT, I'll now heartily recommend yet ANOTHER Buried by Time and Dust reissue -- Solstice's New Dark Age they just released is a fantastic little 2xSlab that sounds fucking fantastic. And there's lots to look at while you're spinnin' it, too:
Sweet jeeeeezus, I can't wait to get that in the mail. Buried By Time And Dust don't fuck around.
Got this today Not my comforter btw, grabbed that of the internet. Though mine is white with a floral pattern....
I generally only buy hip-hop records on vinyl and I've never spun any of it...purely for collection only. Here's the one that graces my living room:
Dan Lang and El-P designed the cover art, and Phase Two did the Fantastic Damage piece and the demon drawings. The bird image is based on an original drawing by Alexander Calder.
Y U so ANGry, KK? Daymn!
Whys errrbody always askin me this? My face is just lazy. This is my face in standby mode.

that last picture looks like you're about to jump out and hit someone in the face with a hammer. It's okay, though, buddy, I have a natural scowl as well. I get people who come up to me and say, "hey I saw you walking by the coffee shop the other day but didn't yell anything because you looked furious."

Their albums should come with coupons for snow survival equipment. See why I should be a marketer for bands?

I would definitely use Captain "Rcoket" Maichael's gig-ass band publicisist services.
One of my favorite purchases this past year was the Coffins / Hooded Menace split 7"
I bought it with the Fulfill The Curse lp (swore I'd buy it if it ever saw the presses... and, well, it did!)
I should be getting Thou's Summit and Cloudkicker's Beacons on vinyl some time within the next few weeks... I'm pretty excited for both (they were two of my top 10 selections)
You look like Sabertooth in the X-man movies. Chill dude.
My best recent vinyl purchase must be this one:
W.A.I.L. - Wisdom through Agony into Illumination and Lunacy
No bonus material or picture discs, but the music itself is made for black wax. The CD re-press is coming soon, but I would recommend to grab the vinyl version.

that looks sweet. Is the actual 7" super thick? I bought a Katharsis/Antaeus split a while back that weighs a fucking ton! You could throw the goddamned thing through a brick wall.
And Juho, I want that album too. I think it might be too late, sadly.

Ahdistuksen Aihio still has a copy/copies left for €15 + shipping. Man, you'd love that album.
EDIT: He also seems to have the Mirror of Deception/Garden of Worm split for €12. Fuck me for not living in Finland at the moment.
